Irma Jager
Irma joined the CNVC staff in May of 2023 as the Programs Assistant and supports the International Intensive Trainings (IIT) around the world. Having organized an IIT in New Zealand in April that year, she became very motivated to join CNVC's Programs Department, as she witnessed first-hand the impact of these 9-day retreats on the participants.
As well as offering workshops, one-on-one sessions, mediation/conflict resolution in her community at the top of the South Island of New Zealand, she enjoys bringing Nonviolent Communication skills into the community in a variety of volunteers roles (e.g. as a volunteer rural firefighter, event organisations, local food co-op). She serves as the treasurer for the NVC Charitable Trust, which has the lofty ambition of 'Compassionate Connection Thriving in Aotearoa-New Zealand.'
“But what matters even more than ‘doing’ these things,” Irma says, is that “I live and breathe NVC with a passion.”
