Amy Qiang
Amy Qiang is dedicated to building a warm, safe, and trusting world. Her mission is to share Nonviolent Communication (NVC) with the Chinese community worldwide, especially focusing on women with less access to resources. She sees it is possible to help them stay with their power, grow their awareness and ability of choice and self-compassion, and help them heal and increase their well-being.
Amy has been leading NVC training programs since 2020, focusing on parenting, self-growth, and healing. She likes to bring brain science and mindfulness into her teachings to support the cultivation of NVC consciousness. Having healed and transformed through childhood trauma, she knows, “There is nothing wrong with ourselves. What we need is warmth, curiosity, accompaniment, and compassion.”
Amy Qiang currently lives in Kirkland. She is the Chairwoman of the Chinese Overseas Parenting Association, in Seattle, Washington, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization building a warmhearted community to support Chinese-speaking parents worldwide.
