Trainer's profile
I am a trainer, private consultant, and speaker. As an assistant dean at UCLA in the early 1970s, I co-created and taught the Women’s Studies program there. Since 1976, I have conducted trainings in a variety of self-development areas.
A graduate of Bryn Mawr College, Yale University, and Pacifica Graduate Institute, I have master’s degrees in both psychology, and Russian and East European Studies. I have operated a private consulting practice for more than twenty-five years.
A founder of the NVC Training Institute, I have led NVC trainings in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and South Korea and have been a regular trainer for Center for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC) International Intensive Trainings. I have also worked with General Motors and the government of British Colombia, amongst others. From 2001 to 2009, I served as the CNVC registration coordinator for certification candidates in North and South America.
In 2020, Susan created the groundbreaking New Depths Intensive Program. She lives just outside Portland, Oregon, USA.
“New Depths integrates the latest discoveries in brain science, psychology & trauma treatment, and Nonviolent Communication (NVC) into a uniquely effective healing method that literally rewires our brain and restores our birthright of well-being.”
