Jaka Kovač
Jaka has been working as a trainer, facilitator, and youth worker since 2005. He started in the NGO sector, working with volunteers, refugees, and youth workers, and later spread his work to schools, the public sector, and businesses.
Jaka attended his first Nonviolent Communication workshop in 2010, which was a big milestone in his work as a trainer as well as in his personal life - questioning so many core beliefs and behavioral patterns that he proudly nurtured till then. Since then, it has become a big part of Jaka's work - as content or as a tool when working on other topics.
He combines it with other approaches (Art of Hosting Conversations that Matter, Adventure Education, etc.) and tries to bring some embodiment into the workshop. Jaka also worked as a judo coach for 20 years).
Jaka offers workshops for individuals, NGOs, school and kindergarten teachers, sports coaches, and companies... Currently, he is involved in a longer international project through which we are addressing the prevention of violence in sports. He organizes regular practice groups with colleagues from the Slovene NVC community.
