Kirsten Kristensen
“My vision is a world where everybody can meet their needs peacefully. My mission is to contribute to a world where all children have love, food, shelter and education."
Kirsten Kristensen is a CNVC-certified trainer, mediator, and expert in transformational processes, with a profound dedication to fostering Nonviolent Communication (NVC) worldwide. Her journey with NVC began in 1998 and has continued to the present day, as she's been actively training and facilitating NVC programs across numerous countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas. Her work in Kenya inspired her to co-create a fundraising platform to support certification candidates to offer NVC training and thereby gather the experience needed to become a certified trainer with CNVC
You can attend trainings with Kirsten online and in person in multi-year programs, stand-alone workshops, retreats, and individual sessions. Her work also includes social change projects such as the Victims Foundation in Denmark and other civil society initiatives. Her expertise is highlighted by her involvement in International Intensive Trainings (IIT’s) with the Center for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC), where she both serves as a trainer and as an organizer.
Passionate about promoting NVC in schools, kindergartens, and families, Kirsten initiated and contributed to the film project, "A Culture of Peace in Schools with NVC – Behind every action there is a need.". Co-funded by the Danish Ministry of Education, it includes five short videos and a teachers’ handbook and is translated into 12 languages.
Kirsten is grateful to have been part of the training team for “Healing and Reconciliation with NVC” after the civil war in Nepal in 2014. This training resulted in a documentary by Carolyn Davies: “Raamro Aakha Ma (In the Eyes of the Good).”
In addition to her training and initiatives, Kirsten has contributed to the CNVC organization as a board member for three years and co-founded the Association of Life Enriching Communication (LIVKOM) in Denmark in 2009. She has also established a publishing house, Rosenlund Forlag, which specializes in translating NVC materials to Danish.
Kirsten Kristensen's journey as a CNVC-certified trainer reflects her unwavering commitment to transforming lives and communities through Nonviolent Communication.
