Mary May
It is my honor and joy to share Nonviolent Communication. I am committed to supporting others in their journey to connect more fully and authentically with the life in them and between us. My aim is to contribute to peace and compassion in our world through supporting others in their self-connection, relationships with others and with all of life and our earth.
I offer courses and sessions that include inquiry, self-connection, and practice to support awareness and integration. I cultivate a compassionate and welcoming community in sharing the peace, joy and love I experience as living in NVC consciousness. I have shared NVC with students, parents and those who work with children, in addition to groups and couples since 2017.
I have a degree in Secondary Social Studies Education with a minor in Gender Studies. I also have a Montessori Teacher Certificate for Lower Elementary with a special focus on Peace Education. I taught in a variety of educational settings for fifteen years before having children. NVC supports me in articulating my awareness of power, choice and self-connection especially in relationship to children and learning.
I live with my husband, our two daughters (ages 5 and 6), and our dog, Buddy. We spend our days learning, playing, and connecting through self-directed homeschooling. I enjoy sharing meals with friends, being in nature, and being reawakened to the wonder and awe of our world with my daughters.
Each day, I am grateful for the gift NVC has given me to connect with life and love and for the opportunity to share this gift with others. I celebrate the daily moments of awareness and integration and the opportunities for curiosity and reflection that the journey in living NVC offers me.
