Simran Wester
I as born in Bogotá, Colombia, in 1954, and came to Germany at the age of eleven. In Hamburg, I studied German and Geography, and later on opened together with my husband a Yoga center. I am married since 1984 and have two grown up children and a grandchild.
NVC turned out to be the missing piece in my life, after I had found Kundalini Yoga in my twenties and totally immersed in that practice, which gave me stability and stamina. NVC opened the window to understand myself on a deeper level and free myself of addictive, submissive behavior and become authentic and self-reliant. I realised that I was longing for deep, compassionate connections, and found the access by allowing my own feelings and needs - and those of others. I love offering workshops and retreats around NVC and yoga, and accompany others in their processes of becoming who they can be. Life is such a miracle again and again, and it is such a joy to contribute to it’s unfolding and to peace. I am ever grateful to Marshall Rosenberg and all the other trainers and ambassadors of NVC – we are creating the change that we want to see in the world.
Further training courses have supplemented and rounded off my spectrum over the years:
- Bereavement and Terminal Care
- Family and System Constellation According to Hellinger
- Intensive Meditation Retreats
- Psychodynamic Imaginative Trauma Therapy
I founded the Hamburger Institut für Gewaltfreie Kommunikation and offer free seminars and trainings mostly in Northern Germany, often together with my colleagues.
