This three-day training offers a transformative journey into the art and practice of Nonviolent Communication (NVC), combining somatic awareness with foundational NVC principles. By integrating mind, body, and emotions, participants learn accessible tools for navigating tough conversations, building connections, and speaking their truth with power and compassion. This immersive experience is rooted in cultivating empathy, self-connection, and effective engagement with conflict, empowering participants to create meaningful relationships and foster community wherever they go.

At the heart of this training are simple yet profound practices for deeply listening, finding common ground, and aligning words with intention. Through centering exercises, sensory awareness, and intuitive guidance, participants develop a reliable path for personal growth, navigating challenges, and creating lasting transformation in their lives. Whether you’re a teacher, therapist, leader, or someone seeking deeper connection, this training equips you with shareable methods for building a compassionate and inclusive world.

Join us to explore conscious community-building with NVC tools and discover a model for cultivating connection and resilience wherever life takes you. Together, we’ll create the foundations for authentic relationships and embodied leadership.

Retreat Highlights

Participants will have the opportunity, through modeling and roleplaying, to apply this shift in consciousness to situations of interest, from the personal, interpersonal, and collective levels.

The sessions will combine large and small groups. We will use whatever arises in the field to experiment with and embody the consciousness.

We will learn with and from each other, while in communion surrounded by the beautiful nature of Allsgood Farm.  In addition, the magnificent Yuba River, along with the quaint towns of Grass Valley and Nevada City are each within a 15-20 minute drive away.

TUITION
Sliding Scale: $700-$1400

We recognize the challenge of being truly inclusive in a time of much polarization both domestically and globally, and want to welcome participants from less privileged and marginalized populations. If you are from the Global Majority or find yourself with limited resources, and are drawn to our retreat offering, please contact us to discuss what you are willing and able to contribute, even if it is below the requested minimum.

Our sliding scale supports our capacity to sustain our work and continue to serve. It also helps us include those without the financial resources to participate.

If you have the resources and willingness to do so, please consider contributing at the higher end of the scale and beyond.

If you need help with discernment please contact [email protected]

TRANSPORTATION
SMF is 1-hr away, OAK is 2.5 hrs away, SFO is 3 hours away.
We will do our best to coordinate transportation and ride-share support upon request.

David Weinstock - is an international trainer of Nonviolent Communication, a somatic coach, an Aikido instructor, and a master goldsmith. His recent book, “Becoming What You Need,” as well as the embodied practice he developed called Somatic Consensus, provide essential foundations to guide personal growth toward deeper embodiment and lifelong, artful engagement with the world.

He leads workshops both locally and worldwide, working with a diverse range of individuals seeking to connect with the body’s innate wisdom, strengthen their relationships, and find their voices amidst today’s rapidly changing landscape. His programs integrate timeless lessons of mastery and conflict resolution drawn from the peaceful martial art of Aikido.

In addition to his workshops and classes, Weinstock provides individual coaching designed to help people synchronize language, emotions, and actions. His aim is to support living a meaningful life that is deeply felt, illuminating the subtle nonverbal dimensions where much of human communication truly resides. Committed to fostering self-direction, self-generation, and clear navigation through life’s complexities, he invites clients to cultivate greater clarity, integrity, and purpose.

Together with his wife Judith and eight other families, Weinstock co-founded an intentional community in 1990 in Indianola, Washington.
