Ian Peatey
Ian Peatey was born in 1963 in Britain and now lives in Romania. He has a long career in business, having worked for a global consulting firm and, more recently, a small niche consulting and coaching business. “But my heart is in NVC,” he attests.
“For those who don’t know this part of Europe, Romania is nestled in between Ukraine, Moldova, Hungary, Bulgaria, Serbia and the Black Sea. It’s wonderfully rich in natural beauty including the Carpathian Mountains and the Danube delta. My wife is Romanian and also an NVC trainer, and we have a nonprofit association devoted to NVC. Honestly speaking I’m not into connection for the sake of connection (there are just too many people in the world), but do treat this as an invitation to contact me if anything here that resonates with you and you would either like to know more or perhaps see some way we could support each other.”
Originally from Great Britain, since 2001, Ian has been working with Nonviolent Communication in organizations, open courses and family camps. He studied with Marshall Rosenberg and is a Certified Trainer of the Center for Nonviolent Communication in the United States of America and an Assessor.
He has over 12 years of experience as a trainer for organizations such as PricewaterhouseCoopers, the European Commission, British Telecom, Telos Partners, Decathlon, NN Insurance, ING. He is currently planning a Life Enriching Organisation Lab (LEO-Lab) together with 3 colleagues and is expecting to launch in March 2025.
Since 2012 he has been co-facilitating Extraordinary Relationships, an intensive 6-month training in which participants learn by applying the principles of CNV in the significant relationships in their lives. He launched a second version, Extraordinary Intimate Relationships, together with Monica Reu, his wife - this is now in its 7th edition.
Since 2023 Ian has been working as an Assessor with the English Speaking European Assessment Team and also serving on the ACC (Assessors Coordinating Circle).
