Marijke Christiansson
Certified Trainer since 2020
As a CNVC certified trainer I am contributing to more safety, trust and inspiration in the world (at least that is the feedback I get from people I work with).
I am committed to contribute to a world where we live on a healthy planet within planetary boundaries. You can read more about the planetary boundaries for example on this website: https://www.ecomatcher.com/what-are-planetary-boundaries-and-why-are-they-significant/.
Marshall Rosenberg writes in his book The Heart of Social Change on p. 13:
"A life-enriching organization is one in which all work in the organization, everything that every worker does, comes out of seeing how it is going to support life in the form of meeting needs - needs of the physical planet, trees, lakes, or human beings or animals - and it is clear how life will be served through meeting of needs. And that is the vision that inspires the action, purely."
Marshall continues to write on p. 14:
"To me, the bees and the flowers are part of life-enriching organization. Look at how they both meet each other’s needs. They don’t do it through any guilt, duty, or obligation, but naturally, in a natural system. The bee gets its nectar from the flower and it pollinates the flower.
ON NEEDS
It is hard to separate meeting human needs from the environment: They are one and the same. Meeting the needs of all the phenomena on the planet. Seeing the oneness of it all. Seeing the beauty in that whole scheme, that whole interdependent scheme of life. Life-enriching structures - the kind of structures I would like to see us creating and participating in- are structures whose vision is to serve life."
I would like to co-create these life-enriching structures with you! And participate in them, have fun and enjoy life together.
My background
I have a background as a lawyer (Maastricht University, The Netherlands and University of British Colombia, Canada). I worked for 20 years as a teacher, trainer and coach at 2 different Universities of Applied Science, mostly within the Social Work Program and also with a program on Ecological Justice and Climate Change. I have been able to apply NVC there in different classes and in the supervision and coaching of Social Work students. We moved to Sweden in 2022, where I am now a NVC and mindfulness trainer and facilitator in the Work that Reconnects. I am also facilitating learning and inspiration circles where I combine tools from the transition movement, insights of climate psychology with the latest knowledge about trauma and our nervous system with NVC.
You are welcome to reach out to me if you would like to collaborate.
I can also give support with:
- the experience that there is nothing wrong with you if you see signs of (ecological) collapse and build trust that we can organize ourselves in different ways and making collective more life-sustaining and life-enriching choices,
- getting more clarity on what is important for you (what are your feelings and needs saying?) and how to use this clarity to empower yourself (by making requests);
- self-empathy, among others by making clear how we are part of cultural systems, intergenerational patterns and societal dynamics;
- asking for support and making agreements with yourself and others; you do not have to do it by yourself :-);
- connecting to the good stuff in life and honoring that which upsets you (e.g. in a relationship, or in the world around us). Getting new perspectives and moving on in life in a more connected and meaningful way.
