I work in collaboration with a fellow trainer through the Center for Responsive Living based in Portland, OR. At present, our work focuses on sharing Nonviolent Communication with communities of Chinese Catholics in Asia and in North America. We have established core groups in 7 major cities that, together, form a network of Chinese practitioners sharing NVC through workshops, retreats, and on-going practice groups. Our goal is to extend our work to other organizations and communities, especially those that would not otherwise have the resources to engage NVC trainers.

At this point, most of our work has been focused on offering Responsive Living to groups within larger communities and organizations (e.g. parishes, seminaries, schools). Our goal is to shift our efforts towards training that impacts organizations at the systems level. The individual work of growing in self-awareness and interior freedom are foundational, and yet effective social change is going to require structures imbued with a consciousness that honors and provides for the needs of all.
