Miki is the seed founder of the Nonviolent Global Liberation (NGL) community - a radical community of practice focused on active experimentation with tending to the gap between the current global crises and fully interdependent living. She has authored several books and hundreds of posts on The Fearless Heart, where she shares her insights and in-depth resources.

Her most recent publication is The Highest Common Denominator: Using Convergent Facilitation to Reach Breakthrough Collaborative Decisions (2021), which offers practical guidance on how to facilitate collaborative decision-making processes that lead to transformative outcomes. Miki's articles have been featured in a number of publications such as The New York Times, Tikkun, Self and Society, Waging Nonviolence, Peace and Conflict, Shareable, and elsewhere. In recent years, she's been creating learning packets (currently numbering forty-one) to more effectively pass on the fruits of her decades of work, including with her late sister Inbal Kashtan.

Miki is an Israeli native with significant roots in Latin America. She lived in New York City and the San Francisco Bay Area for thirty seven years before choosing to vagabond in search of learning about liberation and forming a community. She is part of a homepod experimenting with full shared risk living aiming to as a seed of a future community in Catalunya. Miki holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from UC Berkeley and is widely recognized as a visionary voice rooted in practical applications.
