Welcome to our introductory workshop during which we will present the basics of Nonviolent Communication created by Marshall B. Rosenberg.

By participating in this workshop your journey as a participant of “Time for Empathy” will be easier and maybe even richer and more fulfilling.
NVC can be described in many ways. In this introduction, we will focus on NVC as a model to facilitate connections between people through specific communication tools.

About the trainers:

Joachim Berggren (Empathic Way Europe)
I work with groups and individuals who want to be able to communicate better and build sustainable connections in their family, with their friends, at their workplace and in the bigger community. I am offering lectures, workshops, mediation and individual training online and in person. I came into contact with NVC in 2005 and in 2009/2010 I participated in my first annual program with Friare Liv (Liv Larsson and Kay Rung). I have participated in a wide range of NVC workshops both in Sweden and abroad. Since 2010, I have been sharing and teaching NVC myself. In 2017, I became a certified NVC trainer by CNVC. My main focus within NVC has been to teach the NVC fundamentals, community building and to organize major events, such as the European and the Swedish NVC festivals. What captivates my interest lately is how we humans develop both as individuals and groups and how this evolutionary drive affects our ability to learn and integrate NVC into our lives.

Magdalena Malinowska-Berggren (Empathic Way Europe)
I am an NVC trainer supporting people in creating satisfying life and relations (personal and professional) through individual training and group workshops deepening communication skills. I help in implementing Nonviolent Communication (NVC) in companies, non-governmental organisations and at home. My work is based not only on Nonviolent Communication (NVC) created by Marshall B. Rosenberg, but also on non-formal learning methods and on Coaching for Transformation approach.
I founded Empathic Way and Empathic Way Europe, through which I promote Nonviolent Communication and teach honest and clear self-expression and listening to others with respect and empathy. Empathic Way Europe is a project that I started because I love working in English and want to reach people living in the whole of Europe. Besides, I am the author of the online course “Four steps to a better relationship with others and myself” (at the moment only in Polish). I got to know Nonviolent Communication in 2010 and have been delivering workshops since 2013 for example for: WTW Services, Stanley Black & Decker, Interdisciplinary Division for Energy Analyses, McCormick, Fundacja Konsumentów, Empowering Children Foundation, Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH), EY Foundation, etc.
