Joachim Berggren
In 2020 I joined Empathic Way Europe (EWE). I took the initiative for the third edition of "Time for Empathy", a week of online workshops about empathic listening and NVC offered for free by trainers worldwide. Since then I have collaborated with my team members (Magdalena Malinowska-Berggren, Paulina Orbitowska-Fernandez and Cori Liebhart) and offered my own and the team's workshops as well as hosted other NVC trainers in webinars and longer online courses.
My journey with Nonviolent Communication began in 2009 when I participated in Friare Liv's annual training in Nonviolent Communication. The training ended with us having to prepare a lecture in NVC which we then had to carry out if we wanted to. I gave four lectures and then when one of the parties wanted to hire me as a supervisor during the next semester, I was "forced" to start a business. Since then I have carried out supervision assignments, mediations, lectures and workshops for various organizations as well as arranged a number of my own lectures, longer courses and training opportunities based on NVC.
I have participated in many NVC courses and annual programs. In the summer of 2014, I was one of two main organizers for the European NVC Summer Festival which took place at Tollare Folkhögskola in Nacka. This year, 2020, I am also one of the main organizers of the European NVC festival that will take place outside Malmö at the end of July. Since 2018, I have been organizing the Swedish NVC festival, which takes place in mid-June every year at Tollare Folkhögskola.
For many years I have been deeply interested and committed to how we as individuals and groups can create change both in ourselves and in our surroundings. I have found NVC to be one of the most inspiring and effective methods for creating contact and functioning cooperation on all levels of life, both among family and friends as well as at workplaces and in association life. I love seeing people grow and develop and hearing how they find that NVC enriches their lives. I hope you want to explore and experience the same with me.

Min NVC-resa började läsåret 2009/2010 då jag deltog i Friare Livs årsutbildning i Nonviolent Communication (NVC). Utbildningen avslutades med att vi skulle förbereda en föreläsning i NVC som vi sedan fick genomföra om vi ville. Jag höll i fyra föreläsningar och när sedan en av parterna ville anlita mig som handledare under nästkommande termin var jag ”tvungen” att starta företag. Jag har sedan dess genomfört handledningsuppdrag, medlingar, föreläsningar och workshops för olika organisationer samt arrangerat en mängd egna föreläsningar, längre kurser och träningstillfällen med grund i NVC.
Jag har deltagit i många NVC-kurser och årsprogram. Sommaren 2014 var jag en av två huvudorganisatörer för the European NVC Summer Festival som gick av stapeln på Tollare Folkhögskola i Nacka. Jag är även i år, 2020, en av huvudorganisatörerna för den europeiska NVC-festivalen som kommer gå av stapeln utanför Malmö i slutet av juli. Sedan 2018 organiserar jag den svenska NVC-festivalen som genomförs i mitten av juni varje år på Tollare Folkhögskola.
Jag har under många år varit djupt intresserad och engagerad i hur vi som individer och grupper kan skapa förändring både hos oss själva och i vår omgivning. Jag har funnit NVC som ett av de allra mest inspirerande och verkningsfulla metoder att skapa kontakt och fungerande samarbete på alla plan i livet, både bland familj och vänner såväl som på arbetsplatser och i föreningslivet. Jag älskar att se människor växa och utvecklas och höra hur de finner att NVC berikar deras liv. Jag hoppas att du vill utforska och uppleva detsamma tillsammans med mig.
