The power of mourning – Irmtraud Kauschat

At times I face situations where I feel helpless, I have no idea how I can change them. Then it can be helpful to accept and mourn that it is as it is. This can be a powerful experience that opens another door for me I hadn’t been aware of before.
You will have a chance to explore this with an example of your own life.

About the trainer:
Irmtraud Kauschat
I grew up in post-war Germany with guilt and shame about our history. NVC supported me to differentiate between guilt/shame and responsibility. It is out of this responsibility and being inspired by Marshall’s work that I chose to share NVC in regions of conflict like Israel/Palestine, Kenya, Ukraine and Somalia to support reconciliation and social change. It is important to me to contribute to a world where everybody’s needs matter, to get to know about the privileges I have and to be curious how I can use them in a collaborative way with people who have less access to resources.
